Return & Refund Policy

This policy explains how payments and refunds work when you engage FernWorks Education Advisory Sdn. Bhd. Because our model is unusual — students pay us nothing — it is worth spelling out clearly.

1. Our services: nothing to refund

Consultations, course matching, scholarship screening, application submission and pre-departure support are provided to students and families at no charge. FernWorks does not collect service fees, deposits or "processing charges" from students under any circumstances. If anyone claiming to represent FernWorks requests such a payment, do not pay — report it to us immediately at [email protected] or +603-5622 8194.

2. Payments made to institutions

During your application journey you may pay money directly to universities, colleges, testing bodies or immigration authorities — for example application fees, tuition deposits, English-test fees or visa charges. These payments:

  • Are made by you directly to the institution or authority, never through FernWorks;
  • Are governed entirely by that organisation's own refund policy;
  • May be non-refundable (visa fees and test fees usually are) or refundable under conditions (many tuition deposits are refundable if a visa is refused — check before paying).

Before you pay any institution, your advisor will point out the applicable refund clause and flag anything unusual. Ask us if a clause is unclear — deciphering fine print is part of the job.

3. If we assist with a refund request

Where an institution's policy entitles you to a refund — for instance, a withdrawn offer, a visa refusal covered by the deposit terms, or an overpayment — we will help you prepare and follow up the refund request with our partner institutions at no charge. Refund timelines are set by the institutions themselves and commonly run 30 to 90 days.

4. Merchandise and events

FernWorks occasionally runs free workshops and gives away printed guides or merchandise. As these are free of charge, no returns or refunds apply. If a paid event is ever organised, its refund terms will be published on the event page before tickets go on sale.

5. Complaints

If you believe any payment was collected from you improperly in connection with our services, contact us within 30 days with the payment evidence. We investigate every report within 14 days and, where the payment was made to us in error, we refund it in full to the original payment method.
