Four countries our students love — compared honestly

🇦🇺

Australia

The favourite for a reason: world-class universities in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, a Malaysian student community everywhere you turn, and post-study work visas of two to four years. Main intakes in February and July; budget roughly RM150,000–RM220,000 per year all-in. Strong for engineering, health sciences and business.

🇬🇧

United Kingdom

Three-year degrees mean one less year of fees. September intake dominates, and the Graduate Route lets you work for two years after finishing. Expect RM180,000–RM250,000 per year in London, noticeably less up north. Exceptional for law, finance, humanities and medicine.

🇳🇿

New Zealand

Smaller lecture halls, safer cities and a three-year post-study work visa for degree graduates. February and July intakes; around RM130,000–RM180,000 per year. A quiet powerhouse for agriculture science, environmental studies and film.

🇮🇪

Ireland

The EU's English-speaking gateway, home to European headquarters of major tech and pharma firms. One-year master's degrees are a bargain by Western standards. September intake; roughly RM160,000–RM210,000 per year including Dublin rent.

The smart shortcut

Credit transfer: start here, finish there

A twinning or credit transfer programme lets you complete one or two years at a Malaysian partner campus, then transfer to the overseas university to finish the same degree. The certificate you graduate with is identical — the price is not.

  • Save up to half of the total cost by spending your first years at Malaysian fee levels.
  • Ease into independence — adjust to university workloads before adjusting to a new country.
  • Keep options open — strong first-year results can unlock transfer scholarships abroad.
